10 Point Scale versus 5 Point Scale

Threads recommends and supports a 10 point rating scale.

Threads uses a 10 point scale to ensure there is enough variance in both the values and results scores. When using a 5 point scale, many times, everyone falls along the “meets expectations” or 3.5 score.

While the scale cannot be changed from 10 points, as an admin, you can change the way the points are defined. We have a rating scale definition feature that allows you to customize the way the scale is explained to your employees and managers.
